Mater Amoris Montessori School is located on a 13-acre country campus in Ashton, Maryland. Since the implementation of an outdoor classroom model was adopted to serve families during the pandemic, we have experienced rapid growth in our enrollment and programs.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, and highly adaptable Elementary Guide to join our team beginning Fall 2022. Candidates must be prepared to implement the Montessori method indoors and outdoors as we continue to navigate the pandemic. Successful candidates will have an AMI Elementary diploma and, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred). At least three years of classroom experience, preferably in a Montessori environment, is required.
Individuals wishing to be on staff at Mater Amoris Montessori School must demonstrate an ability to work as part of a dynamic and diverse team. Guides should be skilled at supporting the holistic development of children in their care, should be able to adapt lessons and learning experiences to meet the needs of the children, and should participate in ongoing monitoring of student growth and development. Strong communication skills, a commitment to ethical behavior, and a collaborative nature are key to building relationships with children, parents, and co-workers and are required of all members of the Mater Amoris team.
