Aidan Montessori School, located in Woodley Park, Washington DC, is the gold standard for Montessori education in the Greater Washington DC-area. We seek to fill a lead administration position, Director of Upper School and Operations, who will be responsible for two key areas:

Upper School: Alongside the Director of Education, the candidate will be responsible for the oversight of personnel and programming of the Elementary Montessori classrooms. Oversee curriculum, professional development, level meetings, and evaluations. Work with the leadership team, parents, teachers and students. Ensure smooth delivery of all events, such as the logistics of graduation, the annual musical and exmissions. In addition to elementary teachers, specialist teachers report to this position. Montessori training preferred.

Operations: Responsible for all aspects of operations. This is a single-building campus, with 180 students, toddler through 6th grade. Position ensures all campus systems are in place and working. Position takes on long- and short-term projects such as accreditation, emergency preparedness, fire drills, and more. This position is supported by and oversees/coordinates outside contractors such as cleaners, security, and general contractors.
