Moore Montessori Community School (MMCS) is seeking trained Elementary Montessori Guides to open new classrooms as part of a planned school expansion as we move to our new permanent home: a historic 14-acre public school campus in downtown Southern Pines, NC.
At MMCS, we believe every child is capable of building a strong academic foundation, dynamic social-emotional skills, and a trust in his or her own abilities. The goal is to prepare our students for lives of joy and purpose in the 21st century.
Guides will lead mixed-age learning communities using the Montessori method in fully-equipped classrooms. MMCS staff includes an AMI-trained administrator, an AMI-trained instructional coach, and a highly-effective student support team.
Some of our school priorities include cultivating a love of learning among students; reflective teaching practices; supporting positive guidance; connecting children to nature; and implementing gracious community lunches and an active going-out program.

Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree
-AMI diploma in related age group
-Previous classroom experience*
-North Carolina teaching license or willingness to complete lateral entry license process as employee of MMCS*
